ＮＩＣ Japanese Language school 暦と日本の季節、文化
皆さんは日本の国暦が明治五年（１８７２年）まで太陰太陽暦だった事をご存知ですか？
太陽と月の周期の違いの間を取って1842年天文学的にも世界でもっとも正確な太陰となったそうです
が、明治になって福沢諭吉、大隈重信などの強い意見で現在の太陽暦が採用され、
明治五年十二月三日を以って、明治六年一月一日となりました。
太陽暦：solar calendar たいようれき 天文学的： astronomical てんもんがくてき
陰暦：lunar calendar, いんれき 福沢諭吉 ふくざわゆきち 慶応大学founding father
周期：time cycle しゅうき 大久保重信 おおくましげのぶ 早稲田大学founding father

現在 1月
昔 睦月 むつき
意味 新年で親戚（しんせき）や友達知人が集まり親しく睦（むつ）みあう
季節を感じる：大寒（たいかん） 1月20日ごろ
現在 2月
昔 如月 きさらぎ
意味 "寒さで着物を更に重ねて着ることから、着更着（きさらぎ）となったらしいが
色々言われている"
季節を感じる:立春 2月4日ごろ
立春の行事 （りっしゅんのぎょうじ）rissyun festival
”豆まき”
豆まきをする日を節分（せつぶん）と言います。節分とは季節を分ける、という意味です。
日本には春夏秋冬がありますから、節分は1年に4回あります。しかし、日本で節分といえば
2月3日か4日のことを言います。
その日は大豆をまき、そのときに「鬼は外、福は内」（鬼は出ろ、幸運は中へ）と言います。
ヒイラギの枝にイワシの頭をつけ、家の門に置きます。
大豆や米には鬼を払う力があります。そして福を呼び込みます。また、イワシの頭は臭いので、
鬼が中に入るのを防ぐと考えられています。
豆まきのあと、年の数だけ豆を食べると、1年間、病気にならなかったり、災いが起こらなかったり
しません。
鬼：おに devil イワシ〔鰯） true sardine 災い（わざわい）unhappiness, bale
福：ふく happiness ヒイラギ（柊） fortune tea olive

相撲（すもう）
今日、白鳳（はくほう）が優勝（ゆうしょう）しました。
すもうは、昔（むかし）、男がかみさまに かれらの力（ちから）をみせる神事（しんじ）でした。
ですから、たたかいの前と終わりにかならず礼（れい）をします。
すもうのれきしはとてもふるく、にほんでいちばんふるい れきしのほん 日本書紀（にほんしょき）（469年ごろ）には相撲の文字（もじ）がありました。
すもうには たくさんの みりょくが ありますが、そのひとつに 柔道（じゅうどう）や
ボクシングとちがい、体重（たいじゅう）でわかれていないことがあります。
だから、ちいさな力士（りきし）がおおな力士にかったとき、おきゃくさんは たくさん
はくしゅをします。
長い間、力士は日本人だけでしたが、やく30年前にハワイから「たかみやま」がきました。そのあと、「こにしき」や はじめての外国人よこづな「あけぼの」「むさしまる」につづいて、最近（さいきん）ではモンゴル・エストニア・ブルガリアなど、たくさんの国の人が力士になっています。

You are receiving the information regarding NIC Classes and HP as follows:
Classes at Azabu Juban School
1 JLPT Level 2 in preparation:
＊ On Saturdays ( 10:00 am to noon)
＊ Targeted for those who have passed Level 3 and want to challenge Level 2
＊ One applicant has already signed up. Soon to start when one more joins.
＊ Fee ： 10,500yen for 5 lessons ( @ 2,100 yen [tax included] )to be treated as one unit.
One lesson lasts two hours. Able to continue until November

日本の行事 1 成人式てご存知ですか 私も知らなかった発祥地があるなんて！
成人式とは、満20歳になった青年を大人の社会へ迎え入れるための儀式のことです。
1946年、次の時代を担う青年たちに夢と希望を持たせようと、現在の埼玉県蕨市で行われた「青年祭」がル−ツとなっています。
成人式は、毎年、1月の第2月曜日に全国の市区町村で行われ、その日は国民の祝日となります。新成人はス−ツや晴れ着を着て大人の自覚を持ち、そして周りから祝福してもらいます。
一生にたった一度しかない成人式は、ある意味、日本人にとってとても大切で、思い出に残る日です。

Do you know Seijin shiki ? I did not know that there is birthplace!
“Seijin Shiki” is a ceremony to embrace the young person who turned full
20 years old in an adult society.
"Young person festival" done in present Saitama Warabi city in 1946 is a root of this ceremony. The ceremony aimed to give the dream and hope to young
people who bear the next age. The national holiday called “Seijin no Hi” is
the day when “Seijin Shiki” is held.
By the way, Seijin means adult, Shiki means ceremony and Hi means day.
“Seijin Shiki” is done in the municipal district towns and villages everywhere in Japan on the second Monday January every year. New adults become aware of
being aults, putting on the suit and best clothes, and are blessed by parents,
relatives and people all around. “Seijin no Hi” that comes just once in whole
one’s life is a day that is very important for the Japanese, and remains in
memories.
